Prof. Esther Rodriguez-Villegas, PhD, CEng, FREng
- Inventor of the AcuPebble technology. Acurable’s CEO / CSO.
- In addition, Esther is a Full Professor (Chair of Low Power Electronics) and the Founder and Director of the Wearable Technologies Lab at Imperial College London.
- Recipient of many international awards, including an IET Innovation award, an XPrize award and a Royal Academy of Engineering Silver medal. Her contributions to engineering have also been recognised by being elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng).
- 15+ years conceiving, raising funds and leading successful multi-million R&D medical devices projects.
- Recognised as top Spanish scientist under 36 in 2009.
- Originally from Spain, Esther holds a MSci and a PhD in Physics from the University of Seville.
Dr. Anas Imtiaz, PhD, CEng
- Acurable’s Head of Engineering, leading the signal processing, hardware, embedded systems and mobile app activities.
- Anas is also a research fellow at the Wearable Technologies Lab at Imperial College London. Previously a system designer at Imagination Technologies.
- He brings his 8+ years experience creating digital circuits and embedded systems with real-time biomedical signal processing for monitoring and diagnosis of different medical conditions.
- Originally from Pakistan, Anas holds a MSci in Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design and a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London.
Diego Casas-Rodriguez
- Acurable Head of Platform, leads our cloud information technology infrastructure.
- Diego has 15+ years experience building large-scale IT platforms in regulated industries, including Telecommunications, Finance and Life Sciences at leading companies such as Sky, Thomson Reuters and Medidata Solutions.
- Originally from Spain, Diego holds an MSci in Telecommunications from the University of Vigo (Spain).
