About AcuPebble SA100
AcuPebble SA100 is a medical device for the diagnosis of sleep apnoea. The mobile application works in combination with a wearable sensor, and can either be downloaded for free to your own phone or used on a device provided by your healthcare professional. The mobile application provides you with all the instructions you need to conduct a sleep study at home, allows you to start and stop the recording, and then securely upload it so your doctor can look at the results.
AcuPebble SA100 is a regulated and clinically validated medical device.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you use the AcuPebble SA100 mobile application to conduct the sleep study. This information does not include any personal identifiable details, so only your healthcare professional will know who you are.
The information collected by the AcuPebble SA100 mobile application includes:
- Acoustic biosignals generated by your internal body functions (eg: your breathing and cardiac functions).
- Mobile application usage and activity information (eg: when you started the recording, when you stopped the recording).
This information is required for the functioning of the AcuPebble SA100 system and to be able to complete your sleep study.
Additionally, when the sleep study is created by your healthcare professional using the AcuPebble SA100 system, the following patient details are collected:
- Date of birth
- Any other non identifiable information your healthcare professional may consider important to complete your sleep study (eg: sex, weight).
Finally, if you need to contact us for technical or other support, we may need to collect some of the following information (depending on how you choose to contact us):
- Name
- Address
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Your mobile device model and operating system
How will we use the information about you?
We will use your information for the following purposes:
- Mobile application usage and activity information will be used to help generate a diagnosis, and to analyse how our applications are used so we can improve the user experience.
- Anonymised biosignals will be analysed to help generate a diagnosis.
- Contact information (when applicable) will be used to provide technical or other support to you if you contact us.
Your information will be stored securely in the AcuPebble SA100 platform, and will only be accessible to authorised users via a login and password. We will never share your information with any other third parties for any reason.
General Communication
We will not contact you for any other purpose than to provide support when you ask for it. We will never send you marketing material or any other communications not directly related to your sleep study.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us at contact@acurable.com. We may make a small charge for this service. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
Retention and destruction of your data
Your data will be stored for the period specified in the service agreement between Acurable and the healthcare provider who contracted the service. When that agreed period expires, your data will be destroyed.
